Lab 5 Reflection
12/1/19
For this Lab, we were starting to advance our jquery skills by using the .animation method. So this allows us to make different types of animations to play out on the websites. The cool thing is that it can be called on anytime like mouseOver or onClick, so it brings us to a lot of options to use it. So in the lab, we are supposed to have 10 buttons to change the box, but I decided to only stick with 5 buttons since one is basically the fundamental to 4 buttons. I broke down the lab into 2 areas, a show for the shape and a put for all the buttons, to begin with, beginning with the show range which comprised of a div containing another div, the child div being the shape itself the parent - the foundation. Once the show was set up, I made another div underneath it containing 5 buttons for the 5 things I needed to do to the square: alter shape, estimate, darkness, position, and cascade (all 4 changes at once). To utilize jQuery, I to begin with required to connect to the jQuery library within the HTML which I did by downloading the library and setting the src attribute of the <script> in the <head> to the location it was in. I really wanted to make improvements in this lab such as make the page look more appealing, and make the buttons do cooler things, but most of my time was spent figuring out what was wrong with my code. In the event that certain liveliness happens in reaction to client interaction, like in this lab after the client clicks a button, it makes the client feel like what they're doing is really influencing something and isn't inconsequential. Now and then locales take a whereas to stack or do not stack all at once and including movements can make this see a bit smoother. By employing a document ready work, you'll be able to energize certain components to slowly make themselves clear once the location is wrapped up stacking so that things seem more smooth and less sudden and incoherent.
